If you’re making an early start, you can order a local breakfast bag at the resort, otherwise enjoy breakfast and coffee at one of Anglesea’s many cafes. Drive the most iconic section of the Great Ocean Road, taking in the sea views and beautiful landscapes on the way.
Wildlife experiences
In Marengo, meet the folks from Apollo Bay Surf and Kayak for your guided paddle to the Marengo Reef through the marine sanctuary to get up close to the fur seal colony. This sea kayaking experience is one of the region’s best wildlife experiences. They provide water-proof bags so you can take your phone or camera and get some shots of the cute fur seals on the tour. Spend some time at the beach at Marengo after your kayak, or head back into Apollo Bay to catch the foreshore market
Have lunch at the Emu Café at Wildlife Wonders, just out of town then join the 75 minute Walk With Wildlife guided tour through the sanctuary at Wildlife Wonders – learning about species native to the area and spotting some along the way!
