Spend more of your morning at Gibson Steps, where you can descend to the beach and witness the grandeur of the cliffs up close. You will feel tiny among the giant stacks! Continue your journey along the coast to explore the dramatic scenery of Loch Ard Gorge and learn the story of the shipwreck. Don’t forget to visit The Razorback, a stunning rock formation that offers panoramic views of the Southern Ocean.
NB: beach access to Loch Ard Gorge is currently closed due to cliff instability but the rest of the precinct remains open.

Afternoon - The Grotto and The Bay of Islands
In the afternoon make your way to The Grotto, a mesmerizing sea cave that showcases the power of nature. Enjoy the picturesque views and take your time exploring this captivating coastal formation but be prepared for a large set of stairs to descend and then of course ascend on your way back to the capark.
As the day progresses, head towards the Bay of Islands to witness a spectacular sunset. The collection of limestone stacks and arches bathed in the warm hues of the setting sun creates a magical and serene atmosphere you will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.
