The Otways offer an exciting blend of adventure, nature, and relaxation for families of all sizes and ages. From short, easy walks to thrilling outdoor experiences, this region is perfect for creating unforgettable memories with your loved ones.

Cape Otway Lightstation

Take the family to Cape Otway Lightstation, home to Australia’s oldest surviving lighthouse, perched 90 meters above the ocean. Built in 1848, the lighthouse offers breathtaking views of Bass Strait from its balcony. Guides share stories of historic shipwrecks, while koalas are often spotted on the forested drive from the Great Ocean Road. From June to October, keep an eye out for whales frolicking below. Recharge at the Lightkeeper’s Café before continuing your journey.

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures

Experience the Otways rainforest from above with the Otway Fly Treetop Walk, a suspended path 30 meters high, or the exhilarating Zip Line Tour. Suitable for all ages, it’s a chance to see the rainforest from a whole new perspective.

Mountain Biking

Forrest is one of Australia’s top mountain biking destinations, offering 16 trails ranging from easy 2km loops to challenging 11.5km circuits. The trails wind through forests and fern gullies, catering to all experience levels.
