Marriners Lookout
Just north of Apollo Bay, perched high on a hill, Marriners Lookout rewards visitors with views that stretch across the beach, ocean, lush hinterland, and the town below.
From the carpark, the walk up to Marriners Lookout is about 10 minutes along a well-kept but uphill path. The steady incline can feel challenging, so take your time and enjoy the journey up. For those who like more of a workout, you can start from Apollo Bay itself—walk 1.5 km along the beach or Great Ocean Road, then tackle the hill climb to the top.
At the top, you’ll find yourself rewarded with some of the best coastal views around. The entire town of Apollo Bay stretches below, framed by rolling waves and lush hills. This is the perfect spot for a photo, especially at sunrise or sunset when the light transforms the landscape.
