Tour the art, roses & lavender of Narrawong

If you’re staying in Portland or Port Fairy, make sure you spend a day in the beach-side village of Narrawong and its surrounds.

Bay of Whales Gallery + Coffee Shop

With panoramic farm and ocean views, the Bay of Whales Gallery is where you’ll find my realist fine animal art. You can also indulge in a delicious coffee and vanilla slice that my partner, Gerri, services up in the coffee shop!

You can purchase original artwork, limited edition prints, as well as calendars, coasters, place mats, tea towels, cushion covers and gift cards – all featuring my art.

The gallery is open from Thursday to Sunday and the coffee shop from Saturday to Sunday.

You can find the gallery and coffee shop at 47 Liebelts Road, Narrawong.

Treloar Roses

Located about 15 minutes our gallery is Treloar Roses, Australia’s largest rose farm, with more than one million rose plants in various stages of production.

The fields sprawl across 300 acres of rich volcanic soil in a beautiful rural setting and you can take a 30-minute tour through the blooming fields, as well as wander the two acre display garden.

Treloar Roses is located at 216 Princes Highway, Bolwarra.

Narrawong Lavender Farm

Only five minutes from the Bay of Whales Gallery and Coffee Shop, Clyde Aly has been growing and distilling ‘Miss Donnington’ lavender onsite at the Narrawong Lavender Farm since 1999.

The crop is grown without irrigation and is free of herbicides and pesticides. The lavender is harvested by hand and distilled in small batches in an environmentally friendly wood-fired furnace.

Take a walking tour and make sure you take home some of the lavender oil, body lotion, insect repellent, shampoo, furniture polish or soap.

The farm is located at 7811 Princes Highway, Narrawong.
