The Otway National Park is filled with magnificent waterfalls, but only a handful are as stunning as Erskine Falls. These popular falls are surrounded by dense forest, thick tree canopies and far reaching Tree Ferns.
Discover Erskine Falls
Erskine Falls, set within the lush greenery of Otway National Park, is one of Victoria’s most breathtaking waterfalls. Just a quick 10-minute drive from Lorne, this natural treasure features dense forests, towering tree ferns, and vibrant canopies that surround the falls, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.
With two lookouts offering unique vantage points, visitors can appreciate both sweeping views and close encounters with the cascading waterfall.
Erskine Falls Lookouts
Lookout One: From the car park, a paved trail with steps leads to the first lookout. This easy 300-metre return walk takes only about 15 minutes and rewards you with a panoramic view of the waterfall framed by the lush treetops below. It’s a perfect spot for those seeking a short and accessible stroll.
Lookout Two:
Continue along the path from Lookout One to reach the second lookout. This more strenuous route descends over 300 steps to the base of the falls, where the water plunges dramatically into the pool below. The 700-metre return walk takes roughly 30 minutes, and though the steps can be a challenge, the view from the base makes every step worth it.
