Whether you’re a photographer chasing the perfect shot, a nature enthusiast eager to witness the region’s flora and fauna, or simply seeking a peaceful walk with exceptional coastal views, the Port Campbell Discovery Walk offers an unparalleled experience.
The walk can be accessed directly from the township via an accessible Suspension Bridge, which spans Campbell’s Creek. A 2-metre-wide sealed path which travels behind Port Campbell Surf Lifesaving Club is suitable for prams and wheelchairs, providing an inclusive experience up to a scenic viewing platform on the west side of Campbell’s Creek. From the platform, a 191-step staircase hugs the western headland, guiding visitors to the start of the walk.
The top of the steps can also be accessed be car and via the first 2km of the Poorpa Yanyeen Meerreeng Trail – Timboon – Port Campbell. This section of trail whichfrom the Port Campbell Lookout area, located 2 kilometres west of Port Campbell.
While access to a lookout and the top of the steps is generally good the rest of the walk has moderate gradients and steps and is not suitable for prams and wheelchairs.
