The Port Campbell Discovery Walk offers a blend of coastal scenery and wildlife encounters, traversing clifftops and dense low coastal heath. The trail provides unobstructed views eastward to Sentinel Rock and the iconic Twelve Apostles. Wildlife such as wallabies, birds, and kangaroos are often spotted, particularly at dusk and dawn, adding to the allure of this trail.
The walk connects via the Port Campbell Suspension Bridge, a 2m-wide sealed path suitable for prams and wheelchairs, spanning Campbell’s Creek to a viewing platform. From here, a 191-step staircase ascends the western headland, leading to the Discovery Walk. Alternatively, the trail can be accessed from the Port Campbell Lookout, located 2 km west of the township. Note that while the bridge path is accessible, the Discovery Walk itself features steps and gradients that make it unsuitable for prams, wheelchairs, or those with mobility challenges.
