The Otway Kitchen produces a range of delicious artisan jams, chutneys, pickles and relishes. All of their products are hand made in small batches to retain flavour and quality, using the freshest local ingredients.
The Otway Kitchen is a not-for-profit enterprise kick-starting the careers of people with a disability.
Their range is sold in a number of retail businesses and markets across the Otway, Great Ocean Road, Bellarine and Geelong regions.
They provide a nurturing work environment in Colac, Victoria where their team is involved in the whole business process; they process the fresh ingredients to make the preserves, they label the jars, assist in packing orders and monitor the inventory.
Their supported employees are also involved in marketing and distributing the products to their customers and this provides a valuable learning experience for improving their self-esteem.
The Otway Kitchen is an initiative of genU.
