It’s the 20th anniversary of the Otway Odyssey and 10th anniversary of the Great Otway Gravel Grind.
And to celebrate they are pulling out all stops to make it the biggest, most memorable edition in history.
This year, there’s a new course for the 100 kilometre mountain biking, featuring a more flowy single track and less derailleur-eating four wheel drive track. There’s also a new 106 kilometre course for the Great Otway Gravel Grind and a new 50 kilometre mountain biking course.
This edition’s weekend presents a new format for the event. You can now ride two mountain bike races, two gravel races or mix and match for a truly gritty weekend. There’s also the addition of a new 75 kilometre mountain biking option, the perfect weekend warrior material between the 50 kilometre and the 100 kilometre courses.
Children can participate in the 10 kilometre mountain biking and 30 kilometre mountain biking. The Otway Angels initiative supports and encourages women wanting to ride or race.
There will be celebrations on and off the course, with the retro bike parade, retro kit awards, personalised race plates, the Avenue of Achievement celebrating icons of the Odyssey, more entertainment, more food.
