Hopetoun Falls

Hopetoun Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Victoria and the Great Ocean Road Region. You can view the falls from a viewing platform or take a steep walk to the base of the falls.

Hopetoun Falls car park is located off the Aire Valley Road 10 minutes from Beech Forest and only a few minutes from the amazing Otway Redwoods forest. It will take visitors about 55 minutes to drive to the falls from Apollo Bay and about 45 minutes from Colac.

Regarded as one of the best waterfalls in Victoria, once you arrive, it isn’t hard to understand why so many people travel to photograph Hopetoun Falls. Hopetoun Falls has a viewing platform 20 metres from the car park which offers spectacular views of the 30-metre-high falls as they thunder into the Aire River. Or you can take the steeper walk down to the pool at the base of the falls. Please keep to the path at all times. Dogs are also not permitted at Hopetoun Falls.
