About

Lake Purrumbete Holiday Park is located on Lake Purrumbete – one of Victoria’s most renowned freshwater fishing locations, famous amongst anglers for its trophy brown trout. Lake Purrumbete is the only lake in mainland Australian to stock Tiger Trout and Cheetah Trout.

A variety of fish can be caught here including; chinook salmon, redfin, brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, tiger trout, cheetah trout and eels.

The accommodation is right on the lake edge with the boat ramp located in our park. Cabins and camping sites are available.

Facilities include two camp kitchen, BBQ areas, fully stocked tackle store with all your fishing needs and bait (including live bait) plus ice, LPG, ice creams.

There are mooring facilities, jetties, fish cleaning facilities, day parking and a dual lane concrete boat ramp plus a kayak ramp.

Boating is restricted to five knots on Lake Purrumbete and there is a bird sanctuary including bluebill ducks, magpie geese, sea eagles and pelicans plus many other rare bird species.
