Ocean Road Abalone’s January farm tours are back for a third year in 2026, offering the much-loved abalone tastings prepared by local abalone enthusiast Kittipat Catering.
These seasonal tours give visitors a rare chance to get up close with this fascinating (and delicious) marine mollusc in an aquaculture environment.
After getting into gumboots and hi-vis (provided), the tour takes you through the life cycle of the abalone, the sustainable systems in use at the farm and the catered tasting experience (90 minutes in all).
It’s an engaging experience for seafood lovers, local food hunters, experience seekers and anyone curious about how abalone is grown.
Tours run throughout January, with private group tours also available by appointment year-round. Dress for the weather (sun or rain protection) and chat with the team in advance about any accessibility needs.
After booking and before your tour date, more information about your visit will be emailed by the farm. Biosecurity processes will be strictly adhered to.
Spaces are limited. Visit the website or the Port Fairy and Region Visitor Information Centre at your earliest opportunity to book.
