Pet Friendly Beaches of the 12 Apostles Coast
Looking for places to enjoy the coast with your dog? Port Campbell township and sections of the Bay of Islands Coastal Park (west of Port Campbell) welcome leashed dogs.
Please note that dogs are strictly prohibited in Port Campbell National Park, including the 12 Apostles area. While in transit or parked at designated areas, dogs may stay in your car, but leaving them in hot cars is unsafe. On hot days, follow the advice of Parks Victoria, Corangamite Shire, and the RSPCA, and make alternative arrangements to ensure your pet’s wellbeing
Why are there Restrictions?
Certain areas are off-limits to dogs to protect vulnerable native wildlife, including the threatened Hooded Plover, Rufous Bristlebird, and Southern Brown Bandicoot. These species depend on undisturbed habitats for their survival.
Where Can You Go?
