The perfect addition to your weekend plans. Running every Saturday evening.
Wildlife Wonders provides a sanctuary for small native mammals like Potoroos and Bandicoots but is also home to species that have been lost from the Otways, such as Bettongs and Pademelons. Dusk is a magical time in the Great Ocean Road region, but team a sunset with rarely seen wildlife foraging and exploring, and you’ve got yourself a truly special experience.
On this small, intimate, 90-minute Dusk Discovery Tour (with a group no larger than 10 people), your conservationist guide will give you exclusive insights into the lives of some of the more elusive native animals who call the Otways home.
Not to mention included is a delicious offering of locally produced food, with a wine or craft beer at the Emu Cafe afterward. We think this is the perfect way to end the day before heading back to your Apollo Bay home away from home.
This Wildlife Wonders experience introduces you to native animals you may have never seen before and are unlikely to see in the wild, and we share the story of how the Conservation Ecology Centre is working to protect these species across the Otways. 100% of the profits from Wildlife Wonders are directed to critical conservation programs being run by the Conservation Ecology Centre.
The absolute orchestra from the birdlife is reason to visit alone. Plus dusk is the best time to spot active potoroos and pademelons foraging in the rainforest gully’s soft light, wallabies and kangaroos checking you out from the long grass, koalas napping up above, and of course the spectacular sunset lighting up the sky in purples and pinks. You won’t want to put your camera down.
