Heywood’s APEX park is a dog friendly barbecue area nestled on the Fitzroy River. Kids play ground, clean toilets, drinking water, beautiful scenery and is accessible to RV’s and big rigs. This is a no camping area, but there is a free 48 hour self contained rest area and dump point close by.
Heywood is the heart of the Glenelg Shire and the APEX park is a great place to stop for lunch on your way through to Portland, Casterton, Warrnambool or a great place to stop and eat your fruit on your way over the border to Mt Gambier.
Heywood is four and a half hours from Melbourne.
