Set to Make an Impact at the 2010 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival

Local restaurants and producers on The Bellarine are coming together to host a series of events in conjunction with much anticipated 2010 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

The program of events on The Bellarine include The Worlds Longest Lunch in Portarlington at Bellarine Estate on Friday 12th March, A Taste of Classic Queenscliff lunch at the Vue Grand on Sunday 14th March, Tastes of the Bellarine Dinner on Friday 19th March and concluding with the Longest View Cocktail Party at Kilgour Estate on Sunday 21st.

Bellarine Tourism’s President Hugo T. Armstrong said that the events had been extremely popular in previous years and the program was looking to be even bigger and better this year.

“This is a prime opportunity to sample the delights of The Bellarine and artistry of these brilliant, highly acclaimed Chefs and Restaurants.  We will be showcasing the Bellarine among more than 70 other food and wine events across regional Victoria during the festival – so it’s great to see local producers, restaurants, and wineries band together and host a solid program of events here on The Bellarine. ” said Mr Armstrong.

Exciting new additions to the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, A Taste of Classic Queenscliff Lunch and the Longest View Cocktail Party, promise to leave guests wanting to experience more of what the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula has to offer.

Working in partnership with Bellarine Tourism the events aim to promote the newly formed Bellarine Taste Trail encompassing producers, growers, restaurants and accommodation providers in the region.
