About

Join an expert guide on a Port Fairy Historic Wharf Tour for a leisurely stroll through the Historic Port Precinct on the Moyne River.

This tour will explore the Port area’s rich history, uncovering fascinating and often little-known stories about the characters and events that shaped Port Fairy’s very early development with the Norfolk pines and colonial buildings forming a picturesque backdrop. At its peak in the 1850s, the port was the second busiest in Australia. Wool, wheat and gold were loaded onto great sailing ships bound for England. The ships anchored in the bay while goods and passengers were ferried back and forth from the wharf on smaller craft, known as lighters.

Cost: Adults: $20 Children: Free (Children are welcome, however, please be aware that tours are targeted at Adults) Ghost stories told on request.
