The natural offerings make the Great Ocean Road among the best winter getaways in Victoria. May to September has whales frolicking in the waters between Torquay and Warrnambool – plus, it’s not uncommon to enjoy these views from a windswept beach entirely to yourself.
Further inland are enchanting walks through the rainforest where waterfalls and rivers of the Great Otway National Park are at their most spectacular (thanks to the autumn rains).
