About

An exceptional event supporting local community organisation WET (Water East Timor) to provide clean, safe water and sanitation to rural villages in Timor-Leste.

Join in to hear from their very special guests:

Paulie Stewart – author, musician and rock legend, colourful raconteur and social activist; brother of Balibo Five journalist Tony Stewart

Dr Kirsty Sword-Gusmao – former first lady of Timor Leste and founder of the Alola Foundation, fostering the dignity and empowerment of Timorese women

Water East Timor (WET) Inc is a volunteer community organisation that aims to improve water and sanitation in rural villages in Timor-Leste. They raise funds to enable the Bakhita Centre (a Timor-Leste based not-for-profit organisation) to facilitate new fresh water supplies in small villages.

All money donated to WET goes directly to water projects, and their small administrative costs are met from membership subscriptions.
