About

The Light Up Camperdown Project is an exciting project that includes lighting, projections and interactive activities. The festival is a celebration of lanterns, lighting, projection and interactive activities. Enjoy roving performers, lantern making workshops and market stalls.

As part of the project, the historic Camperdown Clocktower and the old court house building will be illuminated so both their beauty can be seen all the time.

‘The Illuminates’ roving performances will be at 5 pm, 7 pm and 8.30 pm. They’ll also have local buskers showing their talents!

Businesses will be open for late night trading, and you’ll also be able to enjoy the Rotary Christmas market in the Avenue.

The week before the event, they will have lantern making workshops in Camperdown schools, we encourage children to bring them along to create an ‘Avenue of Light’.

Volunteers from Camperdown Community House will also be there from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm to help make paper lanterns on the night.

The event will finish in lighting up the Clocktower!

Adults are welcome to bring along a lantern too, and they’re hosting a workshop if you want to learn how to make one!

Supported by Camperdown Community House and Camperdown Rotary.
