The Heywood Model Trains display at the Portland Visitor Information Centre offers large H.O layout, and N Gauge, memorabilia and a small train layout for children to use and operate.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. It’s suggested allowing a minimum of one hour to appreciate the atmosphere and detail on the layout. Heywood Model Trains are open on the second Saturday of each month (and at other times by appointment).
In close proximity are the Wagon Shed Museum and Quilters Room, which can be viewed in conjunction with model trains by arrangement.
