Let me help you plan your Great Ocean Road trip
I am here to help you explore the Great Ocean Road region, but I’m still learning and can make mistakes. For the best local advice, visit a visitor information centre. This is a large region, so plan for travel distances and your length of stay.
Hello
Salty Dog Charters is a fishing charter business located in Port Fairy, Victoria, run by local fisherman Dan Hoey. They cater to different levels of fishing experience, from the beginner to the passionate, from the young to the not so young.
They cater for individuals (both male and female), families or a group of mates out for a day of fishing and exploring. They provide high-quality equipment and everything you will need for a memorable fishing adventure. Alcohol is allowed on the boat (in moderation) and you have the option to play music while you catch your dream fish. Their aim is to provide you with an unforgettable day out on the water.
Salty Dog Charters goes that extra mile to put a bend in your rod and to give you interesting information about fish species, fishing tips and techniques. Passengers can be sure they will receive safety, experience, professionalism, and invaluable local knowledge. Salty Dog Charters prides itself on going that extra mile to make your day a memorable one out on the ocean by providing a more personalised service and offering one on one assistance to each passenger on board. The smaller boat, holding a maximum of six passengers ensures a more personalised atmosphere.
