Crofts Bays
Croft’s Bay is a long pretty bay that is generally sheltered from Ocean Swell by offshore reef and a collection of smaller sea stacks.

Discover Crofts Bay
Situated west of Peterborough along the Great Ocean Road, Crofts Bay offers a quieter, scenic retreat within the larger Bay of Martyrs. This 1.2-kilometre stretch of coastline, nestled behind low dunes and bluffs, is ideal for beach walks, fishing, and laid-back beach days.
Crofts Bay is a rewarding fishing spot with scenic surrounds. Although the rocky seabed and occasional seaweed may cause snags, the bay offers a chance to catch Australian salmon, trevally, snapper, sweep, and gummy shark.
Getting to Crofts Bay
Access to Crofts Bay is via a sandy, unmarked track just east of the main Bay of Islands car park. The sandy trail leads from a small car park, but it’s not suited to prams or wheelchairs. Additional car parks are located in the centre and at the western end of the bay, where steps descend to the beach.
