Stitched Textile Studio

Stitched Textile Studio is the working studio of Marion Matthews, textile artist.

Marion works predominately with fabrics that she has sources whilst travelling. Some old, some new, some hand-printed, some hand-dyed. They could be cotton, linen, silk or wool. From these beautiful fabrics, she creates unique and colourful quilts, throws and a variety of smaller stitched items.

Her other passion is hand dyeing with eucalyptus leaves and fibre reactive dyes which combine to produce stunning effects on silk scarves, socks and a range of garments.

What distinguishes Marion’s work is the use of colours, tones and strength of designs.
