Pickering Point offers spectacular coastal views and is a hidden gem just outside central Warrnambool. Positioned along the scenic Thunder Point Coastal Reserve, it serves as an excellent vantage point for nature lovers, walkers, and photographers alike.
Located near the Thunder Point car park, Pickering Point can be reached by following a coastal walking trail. The path winds through native vegetation, offering glimpses of the Southern Ocean, wetlands, and the surrounding coastline. Though much of the trail is well-maintained, some areas have uneven terrain, which could pose a challenge for visitors with limited mobility.
There are no toilets or picnic areas directly at Pickering Point, but nearby parking is available, and the Thunder Point lookout offers a scenic place to pause.
