Karen McKenzie has been working as a full-time artist for the past nine years. Her love of colour and positivity shines through in many of her works and Karen loves to focus on painting iconic scenery of her local area for the tourism industry.
Karen’s newest product is her popular jigsaw puzzles, where she turns her artwork into jigsaws in all different sizes. Made in regional Victoria, these jigsaws feature many different towns. The jigsaws are also made in regional Victoria so it’s a great way to purchase a unique gift and support small local businesses at the same time.
Karen creates in acrylic, inks and resin. Products available are jigsaw puzzles, original artworks, prints, handmade pendants, resin pieces, greeting cards, and kids colourins to name a few items available for purchase.
Originally from Mount Gambier, South Australia, Karen moved to the seaside town of Warrnambool, Victoria, to complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1991.
Working under the name of Karen McKenzie Art, Karen usually combines family and working locations, working between her home base of Mailors Flat, Victoria and the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The changing landscape and opportunities are abundant, but Karen is currently working out of her studio in Mailors Flat. Visitation of Karens home studio is available via appointment when not under Covid restrictions.
